We try to get enough turkeys in the freezer to have at least two a month through the winter. It makes a great family meal, or one for guests. Right now in our area turkey is on sale!

Our local Walmart has hen turkeys on sale for 40 cents a pound and toms for 60 cents a pound. Our kroger has them for 67 cents a pound and our local market has them for 77 cents a pound. See what is available near you and stick some extras in the freezer, come January you will be glad you did.
