Aha! Another net10 fan here. I got the unlimited deal and even tho I may not always need it, the savings are still substantial and not having to worry about overages or bills is sweet too!

I'm looking at making further reductions in my budget this year and the idea of writing everything down is excellent, too. Thanks!

Excellent. Very realistic too.

May I share my experience?

This may not work for everyone, but it worked for me: For three months I wrote down everything I spent. Every penny. Same with hubby.

Then we looked for things to cut. DVD rentals? Cut. Went to the library or traded with friends. Premium cable TV? Cut. We rarely watched enough to justify.

Get the idea?

We also looked at our phone bills. We dumped the home phone and the expensive cellphones and got Net10 phones instead. We pay only for what we use at 10¢ a minute and 3¢ a text. Our bills are gone, since we get none! and there are no overaqes or surprises, either.

We also eat out less, and consolidate our shopping trips. The point is that you can find all sorts of things to cut so you can get more for your money.

 i like the ideas and the way you try to get us thinking. i tried making my own laundry soap the liquid kind, but it didnt turn out so good. the soap that was grated tried to lump together. anyway is there a way to make a powder? i have one of those new front loading washers so i dont want to damage it by not using the right soap. what kind of toilet paper have you used that is a best buy? i have also read that you can cut your dryer sheets in half . what abou a recipe for dishwashing soap? or even hand soap? just curious. thanks for all the time you put intyour site. God bless you. susan

I learned the same thing a few years ago, and I believe it was from the same friend! I have definitely found that it makes buying decisions easier.

LOL, well... It might cost you a couple a boxes of screws. That is, unless you're planning on having kudzu vines hold your furniture together. I hear they're pretty strong.

You can also check out:

http://www.asset-auctions.com

They are the place that a lot of governments use to showcase their surplus and salvage equipment (sometimes seized cars, boats, etc.). I found it looking for Tennessee's sales. Not all the stuff is located in Nashville, sometimes it's in Knoxville or Chattanooga. For large equipment like a tractor (bidding in the mid $500's on one) and if you can fix it up, it may be worth a look. Or if you're willing to take a risk on an inoperable grader for $200 or so...

Hello,
I came across your blog when I was searching about payperpost. I'm just curious about how it works, I hope you can give me some advice.

I'd like to know if every post you make there gives you money or will you have to bid on a project? Do you also need to link products or do any other form of advertising to earn?

Hope to hear from you soon, thanks
