Thanksgiving isn’t the only time to eat turkey but it sure is the best time to buy it. We try to get enough turkeys in the freezer to have at least two a month through the winter. It makes a great family meal, or one for guests. Right now in our area turkey is on sale!

Our local Walmart has hen turkeys on sale for 40 cents a pound and toms for 60 cents a pound. Our kroger has them for 67 cents a pound and our local market has them for 77 cents a pound. See what is available near you and stick some extras in the freezer, come January you will be glad you did.
